Airwars assessment
At least one civilian, a woman, was killed and up to four others were injured in alleged Russian shelling of the Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi, and Nemyshlyanskyi districts of Kharkiv on April 28, 2022.
Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, originally reported that one person was killed and two others were injured in one of the eastern districts of Kharkiv and later revised the count to specify that the Kyivskyi and Nemyshlyanskyi districts were shelled, resulting in two civilians killed and four Kharkiv residents injured.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced that a pre-trial investigation had been launched into Russian shelling of the Moscow district of Kharkiv at around 10:50am on April 28th which resulted in the death of a 55 year old woman and the wounding of two men. In addition to the civilian casualties, residential buildings were also damaged.
