Following a major strike on November 19th, a possible second alleged US drone strike  reportedly hit either on the 20th or the 22nd of November, 2013. However information was limited and there was little evidence to suggest people were killed. Solely one report states that three alleged AQAP militants might have been killed in the US drone attack, yet it is not clear if the victims might have been from a previous attack on the 19th of November. The sources are contested when it comes to the exact date of the drone attack, with some reports stating the 20th of November and others the 22nd of November.

A house was partly destroyed in the attack, according to local media. It was located in the Mansoura neighborhood in the city of Al-Shahr and was suspected to be a residence for AQAP members. The front of the house and the surrounding wall got destroyed by the US drone attack as reported by the local “al-Mukalla Star” newspaper. It was unclear if and how many were killed since the house was surrounded by local police immediately after the attack.

In addition, on Wednesday the 20th of November, a military operation of the Yemeni special forces raided approximately three houses in the area of al Shahr that allegedly belong to AQAP members. The raid resulted in one Saudi and one Yemeni AQAP member getting killed as well as Yemeni special forces staff Muhammad Hammoud Al-Sabahi getting killed during one of the raids.
