Airwars assessment
At least one civilian was killed and four others were wounded by alleged US airstrikes which struck a solar energy store in the Hafsin area, west of Saada city, Yemen on April 5, 2025.
According to @TvAlmasirah, a “citizen” was killed and four others were injured when a US attack in the Hafsin area hit a solar energy store. A post from Saba Al-Awadhi quoted Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent in Yemen who provided a similar civilian harm toll of one killed and four others injured while @Ahmadhamieh313 quoted the Yemeni Ministry of Health in reporting that the toll had risen to two killed and four injured. A video posted by @M0SC0W0 appears to show someone being transferred from an ambulance to a stretcher to be brought into a medical facility, and later another body (likely deceased) covered in plastic being wheeled on a stretcher.
Al Sharqiya TV reported that four US airstrikes “targeted” the Hafsin area, and Yemen Now News specified that one of the airstrikes had hit the solar shop while the other “targeted” a house believed to be housing Houthi field commanders. A video posted by @South24_net shows rescue workers and other bystanders sorting through the rubble of a damaged building during the nighttime.
