Airwars Assessment

Last Updated: May 22, 2025

Three people were reported injured by an alleged US airstrike on the Asr area of Sanaa during the evening of 2 May, 2025.

All of the sources quoted the Ministry of Health, which reported that three citizens were injured by US “aggression” in the Asr area in Al-Wahda district.

Facebook user Earok explained that the strike “targeted the home of Houthi leader Abu al-Karrar [a] senior Houthi leader and considered one of the most prominent figures in the economic and logistical fields”.  It is unclear if Abu al-Karrar was killed or injured in the strike.
