In this single-source event, Xinhua reported that three alleged senior Al Qaeda militants were killed in an airstrike on their vehicle in Jaar on June 11, 2012, attributing the strike to Yemeni “warplanes.” There are currently no known reports of civilian harm.

They were killed “while they were moving to oversee the fighting with army troops on the outskirts of Jaar,” Xinhua reported.

The local time of the incident is unknown.
