The Abu Dhabi government media office said on Friday that 12 people were injured by falling debris in the Ajban area following a successful interception by air defenses of Iranian missiles and drones. Operations at the Habshan gas facilities were suspended while authorities dealt with a fire caused by the debris.

The office indicated that the incident in Ajban resulted in minor to moderate injuries to six Nepalese nationals and five Indian nationals, while one Nepalese national sustained serious injuries.

Earlier on Friday, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defenses had engaged missile and drone attacks launched from Iran.

The ministry added that the sounds heard in various parts of the country were a result of the UAE's air defense systems engaging ballistic and cruise missiles and drones.

On Thursday evening, the Dubai government media office denied Iranian reports claiming that a data center belonging to Oracle in the emirate had been targeted. Iranian media had previously quoted the naval command of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as claiming to have targeted data centers belonging to two American companies, including Oracle, in Dubai.

قال المكتب الإعلامي لحكومة أبوظبي، الجمعة، إن 12 شخصاً أصيب بعد سقوط شظايا في منطقة عجبان، إثر "اعتراض ناجح" من الدفاعات الجوية لصواريخ ومسيرات إيرانية، فيما أعلن تعليق العمليات في منشآت حبشان للغاز، بالتزامن مع تعامل الجهات المعنية مع حريق ناجم عن حادث سقوط شظايا.

وأشار المكتب، إلى أن حادث منطقة عجبان، أسفر عن تعرض 6 أشخاص من الجنسية النيبالية، و5 أشخاص من الجنسية الهندية، لإصابات ما بين البسيطة والمتوسطة، فيما تعرض شخص من الجنسية النيبالية لإصابة بليغة.

وأعلنت وزارة الدفاع الإماراتية، في وقت سابق، الجمعة، أن دفاعاتها الجوية تعاملت مع اعتداءات صاروخية وطائرات مسيرة قادمة من ايران.

وأضافت الوزارة أن الأصوات المسموعة في مناطق متفرقة من الدولة هي نتيجة تعامل منظومات الدفاعات الجوية الإماراتية للصواريخ الباليستية، والجوالة والطائرات المسيرة.

ونفى المكتب الإعلامي لحكومة دبي، مساء الخميس، صحة تقارير إيرانية تحدثت عن استهداف مركز بيانات تابع لشركة "أوراكل" في الإمارة.

وكانت وسائل إعلام إيرانية قد نقلت في وقت سابق عن قيادة القوات البحرية في الحرس الثوري الإيراني، زعمها استهداف مراكز بيانات تابعة لشركتين أميركيتين، من بينها "أوراكل"، في دبي.
