Description
On the afternoon of 25 Khordad 1404 (15 June 2025), the third consecutive day of Israeli military attacks on Iran, an Israeli strike hit a 5-story residential apartment building on Sabounchi Street in Tehran. According to a live report by IRIB (Iranian state broadcasting), the building sustained severe damage and rescue teams were prevented from immediate access due to the density of the destruction. At least 5 people were confirmed killed and recovered from the rubble. The head of Tehran's Fire Department confirmed that 25 people were pulled out alive from the collapsed structure. Debris removal and search operations continued through the evening. Multiple Iranian news outlets including Asriran, Etemadonline, Mashregh News, Eghtesadonline, and Iran International confirmed the attack. HRANA's comprehensive Day 3 report listed Sabunchi Street among confirmed civilian residential strike locations in Tehran, noting that by this day 23 people had been killed or wounded in that day's attacks alone, and 121 more casualties from the previous two days had been confirmed. No military installation was identified at or near this specific residential address. No prior warning was issued to residents.
