The ceremony was held on Thursday at 8:00 AM from the Shahroud Martyrs' Ascension on Imam Rah Street (Basij Center) and in Meighan at 9:30 AM from the courtyard of Meighan Grand Mosque.
The memorial ceremony for this martyr will be held after the burial at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Meighan Grand Mosque.
Martyr Majid Vafaei was born on September 10, 1968, in a religious and devout family in the village of Shahidistan Meighan, a part of Shahroud city in the east of Semnan province.
He completed his primary and secondary education in the village and was sent to the southern front in his third year of secondary school with other Basij members.
Martyr Vafaei achieved the rank of veteran (70%) in Operation Badr in 1984. After a short time, he decided to continue his education and managed to obtain a diploma within three years.
Martyr Vala-e-Maqam Vafaei earned a bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in international law from the University of Tehran. He has about 30 years of experience as a lawyer in the legal affairs of his compatriots, especially the warriors and the families of the martyrs.
Martyr Majid Vafaei achieved the high rank of martyrdom on Sunday evening, 15th of Khordad 1404, in the missile attacks of the Zionist regime.

مراسم تشییع شهید «مجید وفایی» در شاهرود شد مراسم تشییع پیکر پاک شهید «مجید وفایی» از شهدای حمله تروریستی اسرائیل به کشورمان که در شهر تهران به شهادت رسید، با حضور مردم متدین و قدر شناس شهرستان شاهرود، برگزار شد. به گزارش دفاع‌پرس از سمنان، مراسم تشییع شهید «مجید وفایی» جانباز سرافراز ۷۰ درصد که در حملات چند روز اخیر رژیم صهیونیستی در تهران به شهادت رسید در شاهرود برگزار شد.
این مراسم روز پنجشنبه ساعت ۸ صبح از معراج شهدا شاهرود خیابان امام ره(کانون بسیج) و در میغان ساعت ۹:۳۰ از صحن مسجد جامع میغان برگزار شد.
مراسم یادبود این شهید بعد از تدفین ساعت ۱۰:۳۰ صبح روز پنجشنبه در مسجد جامع میغان برگزار خواهد شد.
شهید «مجید وفایی»، دهم شهریور ۱۳۴۷ در خانواده‌ای مذهبی و متدین در روستای شهیدستان میغان از توابع شهرستان شاهرود در شرق استان سمنان چشم به جهان گشود.
تحصیلات ابتدایی و راهنمایی خود را در روستا گذراند و در سومین سال مقطع راهنمایی به همراه دیگر بسیجیان به جبهه جنوب اعزام شد.
شهید وفایی، سال ۱۳۶۳ در عملیات بدر به درجه جانبازی(۷۰ درصد) نائل آمد. پس از مدت کوتاهی مصمم به ادامه تحصیل شد و طی سه سال موفق به اخذ مدرک دیپلم شد.
شهید والامقام وفایی مدرک کارشناسی، کارشناسی ارشد و دکتری را در رشته حقوق بین‌الملل از دانشگاه تهران کسب کرد. حدود ۳۰ سال تجربه وکالت در امور حقوقی هموطنان به ویژه رزمندگان و خانواده معظم شهدا را در کارنامه خود ثبت کرد.
شهید مجید وفایی شامگاه روز یکشنبه، بیست‌وپنجم خرداد ۱۴۰۴ در حملات موشکی رژیم صهیونیستی به درجه رفیع شهادت نائل آمد.
