Zakaria Bakr, head of the General Union of Fishing Workers, said that Israeli speedboats executed fisherman Hassan al-Habil (51 years old) while he was with two other fishermen, one of whom was also injured, in the sea west of Gaza.

Bakr explained in press statements that al-Habil was shot directly in the head, killing him, while his cousin was injured while trying to rescue him, holding his hand before he fell into the sea.

وقال رئيس النقابة العامة للعاملين بقطاع الصيد زكريا بكر، إن زوارق الاحتلال السريعة أعدمت الصياد حسن الهبيل (51 عاماً)، أثناء تواجده رفقة صيادين آخرين أصابت أحدهما كذلك في بحر غرب غزة.

وأوضح بكر في تصريحات صحفية، أنَّ "الهبيل" تعرض لرصاصة مباشرة في الرأس أردته شهيداً، بينما أصيب ابن عمه أثناء محاولته إنقاذه وهو ممسكاً بيده قبل أن يسقط في البحر.
