The President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences met with the families of the martyrs of the 12-day imposed war hosted by Imam Khomeini Hospital
Dr. Seyed Reza Raiskarami, President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and his accompanying delegation met and talked with the families of the martyrs of the recent 12-day aggression of the Zionist regime on Monday, August 10, 1404, at the office of the President of Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Veterans Affairs Department of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, in this intimate meeting, which was held with the efforts of the university's Veterans Affairs Office, Dr. Abdolrahman Rostamian, head of the Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex (RA), Dr. Ehsan Moghimi, advisor to the university president for veterans affairs, Mojtaba Amiri Sadr, head of veterans affairs at the Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex (RA), and a number of veterans' employees at the Imam Khomeini Hospital met with Delara Faraji, the daughter of martyr Fazlollah Faraji, and Gholami, the brother of the martyr from the service forces of the Imam Khomeini Hospital (RA). In this meeting, Dr. Raiskarami, while honoring the honorable status of the martyrs, especially the martyrs of the health sector and the recent 12-day war, and noting that these two martyr families are also members of the families of the martyrs of the Sacred Defense Era, said: "The reality is that it is very difficult. These events of the 12-day war, which were lightning fast and very cowardly, are much more difficult than the Sacred Defense Era. At that time, we chose to be on the front lines and we could have been injured or martyred in direct confrontation with the enemy; but these few days, especially the Quds Square incident and the direct enemy attack there, have been very difficult.”
The university president continued: “Just as you, the medical staff, were actively present and acted during those few days, you showed that if everyone serves in the best way based on their field of work or job, in fact, they have been present in the field of defense like the country’s military and defense forces.”
He continued: “I wish God Almighty the highest ranks for your martyrs and patience and forbearance for your families.”
Dr. Moghimi first thanked Dr. Raiskarami for attending this meeting despite his busy schedule, and he also thanked Dr. Rostamian for his constant concern and support for the issues of the martyrs. Referring to the tragic and bitter events that have in recent months hurt the hearts of the entire Iranian nation in one way or another, he said: The martyrs have found eternal life and their pure souls are always watching over our actions. It is hoped that we can follow their path by taking steps towards the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom.
After listening to the memories of Ms. Faraji and Mr. Gholami, he added: By expressing your memories of your fathers’ presence during the Sacred Defense, the truth becomes clear that these martyrs were present at the front for years during the eight-year Sacred Defense; but it was divine providence that they were martyred in this incident and in this way. We wish you and your honorable family patience and forbearance.
Dr. Rostamian, reviewing the memories of the martyrs and celebrating their glorious status, considered the lives of the martyrs a lesson for all of us and stated: When we look at recent events, on the one hand we see violence and crime, and on the other hand, the light of the martyrs' sacrifice and selflessness; this contrast makes us more determined to take steps with greater strength in serving the people.
Delara Faraji, the son of Martyr Faraji, an operating room specialist at Imam Khomeini Hospital, recounts memories of her martyred father. A martyr who was martyred on his way to work and in the terrorist incident in Quds Square, Tajrish. He, who had a three-year history of participation in the Sacred Defense, had announced with full readiness the night before his flight that he was ready to appear on the battlefield again to defend Islam and the homeland.
Meysam Gholami, a nurse at Imam Hospital and a native of Ilam, remembered his father, a 45% veteran of the police force, and his martyred uncle, and said that his brother was martyred as a soldier while on duty at a checkpoint in Ilam city in the defense of the country during this 12-day war. He spoke about the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom that is rooted in his family and added: My wife and I, who is also a nurse at Baharlu Hospital, sent our young children to our hometown from the very beginning of the imposed 12-day war, and we ourselves were present in our hospital non-stop and in multiple shifts so that we could serve the affected people more than ever, because we felt that this was the best way to serve in the defense of the country and the people.
At the end of this meeting, the families of the martyrs were honored.
