An initial report received in the Coastal District indicates that a missile fragment fell on a high-rise residential building in the north of the Nof Yam neighborhood in Tirat Carmel, following alarms heard in the area.
Firefighters who were rushed to the scene located a fragment that hit the 20th floor of the building and stopped on the 17th floor, causing damage to the structure. According to medical teams on the scene, one person was slightly injured as a result of the impact.
Firefighters operated on the scene and conducted searches on the floors of the building in order to rule out the presence of anyone trapped, and according to reports, no fire broke out on the scene despite the damage caused.
The Tirat Carmel Municipality reported that municipal teams, along with emergency and rescue forces, are on the scene and are continuing to inspect and scan.
The incident caused damage to the building, but at this stage no additional casualties have been reported.
The municipality emphasized that the public is asked to avoid coming to the scene and not approach the location, and to continue to act in accordance with the Home Front Command's instructions.

בעיריית טירת כרמל עדכנו כי צוותי העירייה יחד עם כוחות החירום וההצלה נמצאים בשטח וממשיכים בבדיקות ובסריקות.
בעקבות האירוע נגרם נזק לבניין, אך בשלב זה לא דווח על נפגעים נוספים.
בעירייה הדגישו כי הציבור מתבקש להימנע מהגעה לזירה ולא להתקרב למקום, ולהמשיך לפעול בהתאם להנחיות פיקוד העורף.
