Targeting Civilian Gatherings
The Government Media Office in Gaza documented Israeli attacks on more than 15 gatherings of civilians, including in markets, in front of bakeries and restaurants, and at the entrances to shelters across the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the office said, “Over the past three days, the occupation has intensified its bombing and targeting of areas surrounding vital locations where civilians gather,” emphasizing that this represents an escalation of its criminal behavior throughout the ongoing aggression.
The statement confirmed that the central market in Beit Lahia and the Nuseirat market were targeted, along with gatherings in front of bakeries and restaurants in several governorates, where dozens of civilians were queuing to purchase necessities. These attacks resulted in dozens of martyrs and hundreds of wounded.
The office stressed that the occupation's repeated targeting of civilian gatherings confirms that its goal is to kill, increase the number of victims, exacerbate the humanitarian situation, and further worsen the hardship faced by civilians, to the point that even attempting to obtain basic necessities has become a perilous journey.
