Palestine Today News Agency journalist Ahmed Abu Aisha was martyred today, Thursday, in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a group of citizens in the Al-Sawarah area, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip.


Palestine Today News Agency mourned the martyr of truth, colleague Abu Aisha.

It wrote, "With all the pain of loss, and with eyes that never hold back their tears, Palestine Today News Agency mourns one of its knights and loyal colleague, journalist Ahmed Abu Aisha, who ascended to heaven as a martyr this evening, Thursday, as a result of a direct attack carried out by Israeli occupation drones, which targeted him in front of his home in the Al-Sawarah area, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip."

The agency added, "Ahmed was carrying no weapon other than his camera. He wasn't at a military site, but rather returning from the journalists' tent, where he practiced his journalistic work despite the danger, documenting the truth and conveying people's tragedies and pain to the world. He returned for a few moments to check on his family, only to be treacherously awaited. He was targeted in front of his home, where peace was supposed to be, and fell a martyr, leaving behind a brilliant legacy and an inextinguishable lens."

Ahmed joined a galaxy of his fellow martyrs, camera-wielding and verbally alike, led by martyr colleague Ahmed Mansour, who was burned to death, and martyr Zamsel Helmi Al-Faqawi. All three of them ascended in the field of honor, each with a story, a voice, and a testimony of truth that terrified the occupier.

The agency emphasized that targeting journalists in Gaza has become a clear tactic of the occupation, "as if the truth has become an intolerable enemy... But we at Palestine Today affirm that the blood of our colleagues will not be shed in vain, and that their words and images will remain alive, witnessing, and resisting."

The agency concluded, "Farewell, Ahmed, you who wrote the epic of your people with light, and stood before the fire not to be attacked, but to inform the world of what was happening... Farewell, you kind, pure, and brave man... We bid you farewell today in grief, but we vow to remain loyal to you and your cause."

With the martyrdom of our colleague, journalist Abu Aisha, the number of journalists martyred since the beginning of the genocidal war in the Gaza Strip rises to 229.

استُشهد الزميل الصحفي  في وكالة فلسطين اليوم الإخبارية أحمد أبو عيشة، اليوم الخميس، في قصف إسرائيلي استهدف مجموعة من المواطنين في منطقة السوارحة غرب مخيم النصيرات وسط قطاع غزة.


 

ونعت وكالة فلسطين اليوم  شهيد الحقيقة الزميل أبو عيشة. 

وكتبت "بكل وجع الفقد، وبعيون لا تكفكف دمعها، تنعى وكالة "فلسطين اليوم الإخبارية" أحد فرسانها، وزميلها المخلص، الصحفي أحمد أبو عيشة الذي ارتقى إلى العُلا شهيدًا، مساء اليوم الخميس، جراء قصف مباشر نفّذته طائرات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي المُسيّرة، واستهدفته أمام منزله في منطقة السوارحة غرب مخيم النصيرات، وسط قطاع غزة". 

وأضافت الوكالة "لم يكن أحمد يحمل سلاحًا سوى كاميرته، ولم يكن في موقع عسكري، بل كان عائدًا من خيمة الصحفيين، حيث كان يمارس عمله الصحفي رغم الخطر، يوثّق الحقيقة، وينقل للعالم مآسي الناس وآلامهم، وعاد للحظات كي يطمئن على عائلته، فكان الغدر بانتظاره… استُهدف أمام بيته، حيث تُفترض الطمأنينة، وسقط شهيدًا، تاركًا خلفه سيرةً ناصعة وعدسةً لا تنطفئ". 

والتحق أحمد بكوكبة زملائه الشهداء من حاملي الكاميرا والكلمة، وعلى رأسهم الشهيد الزميل أحمد منصور الذي استُشهد محترقًا، والشهيد الزمسل حلمي الفقعاوي ثلاثتهم ارتقوا في ميدان الشرف، وفي يد كل منهم حكاية، وصوت، وشهادة حق أرعبت المحتل.

وأكدت الوكالة أن استهداف الصحفيين في غزة أصبح نهجًا واضحًا للاحتلال، "وكأن الحقيقة باتت عدوًا لا يُطاق… لكننا في "فلسطين اليوم" نؤكد أن دماء زملائنا لن تذهب هدرًا، وأن كلماتهم وصورهم ستبقى حيّة، شاهدة، مقاومة". 

وختمت الوكالة "وداعًا يا أحمد يا من كتبت بالضوء ملحمة شعبك، ووقفت أمام النار لا لتُهاجم، بل لتُخبر العالم بما يحدث… وداعًا أيها الطيب، النقي، الباسل… نودّعك اليوم مكلومين، لكننا نُقسم أن نبقى أوفياء لك ولقضيتك". 

وباستشهاد الزميل الصحفي "أبو عيشة" يرتفع عدد الصحفيين الشهداء منذ بدء حرب الإبادة الجماعية في قطاع غزة إلى 229 صحفيًا.
