Palestinian Territories – The Center for Defending Journalists (CPJ) condemns the killing of journalist Adam Abu Harbid, the cameraman for Al-Quds Al-Youm TV, as a result of a direct Israeli airstrike that targeted the tent housing his family in Gaza City. This incident is part of a series of repeated attacks targeting journalists and media workers during the ongoing war. According to information monitored by the Center, Abu Harbid was killed on Thursday evening after being directly targeted by a missile fired from a helicopter. The attack also killed three of his relatives, seriously injured his wife, and wounded his children. Abu Harbid is one of the journalists who have continued to perform their professional duties since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip, despite the challenges associated with forced displacement, insecurity, and difficult living conditions. He documented the repercussions of the bombing on civilians and the violations targeting medical and humanitarian facilities from the field, in audio and video.
