Gaza, October 12, 2023 (WAFA) – Rescue teams recovered the bodies of 18 martyrs and transported a number of wounded to hospitals early Thursday morning after Israeli warplanes bombed two homes in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.

Our correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Abu Rish family in Block G of the Khan Younis refugee camp, completely destroying it and killing nine people. Five of the martyrs were from the Abu Rish family, including a woman and her infant from the Abu Shamala family, an infant from the Sharab family, and a man from the Barghout family. Several others were injured, most critically, and the surrounding homes sustained significant damage.

He added that warplanes also bombed the home of the Bashiti family in the Ma'an area, southeast of Khan Younis, killing a man, his wife, and seven of their children.

Israeli warplanes launched dozens of airstrikes overnight on civilian homes and numerous agricultural areas. Israeli gunboats also fired hundreds of artillery shells along the coastal road west of the Gaza Strip, while tanks shelled agricultural lands along the eastern border of the Strip.

This comes as the United Nations called for the opening of a safe passage to allow the entry of medical and food aid, as well as fuel needed to operate the power plant, into the Gaza Strip.

غزة 12-10-2023 وفا- انتشلت طواقم الإسعاف، فجر اليوم الخميس، جثامين 18 شهيدا، ونقلت عددا من الجرحى إلى المستشفيات بعد قصف طيران الاحتلال الإسرائيلي منزلين في خان يونس جنوب قطاع غزة.

وأفاد مراسلنا بأن طائرات الاحتلال قصفت منزل لعائلة أبو الريش في منطقة بلوك (G) بمخيم خان يونس ما أدى إلى تدميره بالكامل، وارتقاء تسعة شهداء خمسة منهم من عائلة أبو الريش، بينهم امرأة ورضيعها من عائلة أبو شمالة، ورضيع من عائلة شراب، ومواطن من عائلة برغوت، إضافة لعدد آخر من الاصابات جلها خطيرة، وإلحاق أضرار مادية جسيمة في المنازل المحيطة.

ولفت إلى أن الطائرات الحربية قصفت منزلا لعائلة البشيتي في منطقة معن جنوب شرق خان يونس، ما أدى لاستشهاد مواطن وزوجته وسبعة من أطفاله.

وشنت الطائرات الحربية الإسرائيلية خلال الليل عشرات الغارات الجوية على منازل المواطنين إضافة لقصف العديد من الأراضي الزراعية، كذلك أطلقت الزوارق الحربية مئات القذائف المدفعية على طول الطريق الساحلي غرب محافظات قطاع غزه، إضافة لقصف الدبابات عشرات القذائف الأراضي الزراعية على طول الحدود الشرقية للقطاع.

يأتي ذلك في وقت طالبت فيه الأمم المتحدة بفتح ممر آمن لإدخال المساعدات الطبية والغذائية والوقود اللازم لتشغيل محطة توليد الكهرباء إلى قطاع غزة.
