The Israeli army killed a Palestinian child on Tuesday in a drone strike on the town of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that the body of 14-year-old Rasem Yousef Asaliya arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City after he was targeted by an Israeli drone strike in Jabalia.

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that the targeted area is outside the areas occupied by the Israeli army in the northern Gaza Strip.

This comes amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on October 10.

These violations have resulted in the deaths of 603 Palestinians and injuries to 1,618 others, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.

On October 8, 2023, Israel began a two-year genocide in Gaza, which resulted in over 72,000 Palestinian deaths and 171,000 injuries, in addition to massive destruction affecting 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.

وقالت مصادر طبية للأناضول إن جثمان الطفل راسم يوسف عسلية (14 عاماً) وصل إلى مستشفى الشفاء غربي مدينة غزة، إثر غارة من مسيرة إسرائيلية استهدفته في بلدة جباليا شمالي قطاع غزة.

وقال شهود عيان للأناضول إن المنطقة المستهدفة هي خارج المناطق التي يحتلها الجيش الإسرائيلي شمالي القطاع.

يأتي ذلك ضمن الخروقات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الذي دخل حيز التنفيذ في 10 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول الماضي.

وأسفرت تلك الخروقات عن مقتل 603 فلسطينيين، وإصابة 1618 آخرين، وفق وزارة الصحة في غزة.

وفي 8 أكتوبر 2023، بدأت إسرائيل إبادة جماعية بغزة استمرت عامين، وتجاوزت حصيلة ضحاياها 72 ألف قتيل و171 ألف جريح فلسطيني، بجانب دمار هائل طال 90 بالمئة من البنى التحتية المدنية، بتكلفة إعمار قدرتها الأمم المتحدة بنحو 70 مليار دولار.
