US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Friday the killing of a senior leader of the ISIS terrorist organization in an airstrike on the city of al-Bab in the Aleppo Governorate of northern Syria. CENTCOM explained in a post on its X platform that it "killed a senior ISIS leader and two of his sons in a raid carried out at dawn today (Friday) in the city of al-Bab." It added: "Our forces conducted an airstrike on the city of al-Bab, resulting in the deaths of Diaa Zobaa Musleh al-Hardani and his two sons, Abdullah Diaa and Abdul Rahman Diaa Zobaa, all members of the terrorist organization, who posed a threat to US and coalition forces, as well as the new Syrian government." According to US Central Command, no civilians were injured in the raid, including three women and three children who were also at the target location.
