The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Fatima Hayat, announced that a service building at one of the power and water desalination plants was attacked last night as part of the Iranian aggression against the State of Kuwait. The attack resulted in the death of an Indian worker and caused significant material damage to the building.

Hayat stated that technical and emergency teams immediately began their work, in accordance with approved emergency plans, to address the aftermath of the incident and maintain operational efficiency. This was done in full coordination with security and relevant authorities to secure the affected sites.

She urged the public to remain calm and not to be swayed by rumors, and to obtain information from official sources. She affirmed that the Ministry would continue to monitor developments transparently.

She emphasized that the safety and stability of the electricity and water systems is a top priority, and that all technical teams are working around the clock with high efficiency to prepare for any emergency and ensure the continuity of vital services.

أعلنت المتحدث الرسمي باسم وزارة الكهرباء والماء والطاقة المتجددة، فاطمة حيات تعرّض مبنـى خدمي في إحدى محطات القوى الكهربائية وتقطير المياه مساء أمس، لهجوم من العدوان الإيراني الآثم على دولة الكويت، مما أسفر عن وفاة أحد العاملين من الجنسية (الهندية)، وتضرر المبنى بأضرار مادية جسيمة.

وقالت حيات ان الفرق الفنية وفرق الطوارئ باشرت أعمالها بشكل فوري، وفق خطط الطوارئ المعتمدة، للتعامل مع تداعيات الحادث، واستمرار كفاءة التشغيل، بالتوازي مع التنسيق الكامل مع الجهات الأمنية والجهات ذات الصلة لتأمين المواقع المتضررة.

ودعت إلى التحلي بالهدوء وعدم الانسياق وراء الشائعات، واستقاء المعلومات من مصادرها الرسمية، مؤكدةً مواصلة متابعة المستجدات بشفافية.

وشددت على أن سلامة واستقرار المنظومة الكهربائية والمائية تمثل أولوية قصوى، وأن جميع الفرق الفنية تعمل على مدار الساعة بكفاءة عالية، تحسبًا لأي طارئ وضمانًا لاستمرارية الخدمات الحيوية.
