Local sources reported on Monday that fisherman Nour Rajab Rashad Al-Hissi was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Gaza Strip this morning. The Israeli attack also seriously injured fisherman Suhail Raed Saadallah, while a third fisherman has gone missing and is still being searched for. Fishing is a primary source of livelihood for many families in the Gaza Strip. Before the war, Israel restricted the movement of fishing boats in Gaza's waters to only six nautical miles, monitored by Israeli ships and naval special forces who opened fire on anyone who crossed the border. Since the start of the Israeli war of extermination, Israeli gunboats have prevented fishing boats in Gaza from entering more than one mile, according to testimonies from dozens of Palestinian fishermen.

أفادت مصادر محلية، اليوم الإثنين، باستشهاد الصياد نور رجب رشاد الهسي بنيران زوارق الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في بحر مدينة غزة، صباح اليوم.

وأسفر اعتداء الاحتلال أيضاً عن إصابة الصياد سهيل رائد سعدالله بجروح خطيرة، في حين فُقدت آثار صياد ثالث ولا تزال عمليات البحث جارية عنه حتى اللحظة.

وتعد مهنة الصيد مصدر رزق أساسي للكثير من العائلات في قطاع غزة، وقبل الحرب كانت إسرائيل تقيد حدود تحرك قوارب الصيد في مياه غزة بستة أميال فقط، وتراقبها السفن الإسرائيلية والقوات الخاصة البحرية التي تطلق النار على أي شخص يعبر تلك الحدود.

ومنذ بدء حرب الإبادة الإسرائيلية، تمنع الزوارق الحربية قوارب الصيد في غزة من الدخول إلا لمسافة لا تتجاوز الميل الواحد، بحسب شهادات عشرات الصيادين الفلسطينيين.
