On the afternoon of April 27, parts of the power plant and workshop of the Mobarakeh Steel Plant were hit. The attack left one dead and 16 injured. Critical parts of the complex, including the 914-megawatt and 250-megawatt power plants, were seriously damaged, which directly affected production.

Following these attacks, the Mobarakeh Steel Group’s communications management said in a statement on April 3 that the complex had been targeted for the second time on April 1.

According to the statement, the severity of the attacks and the amount of damage inflicted were such that the alloy production lines and power plants of the plant suffered heavy damage and all production lines were completely stopped.

A manager of Mobarakeh Steel Plant in Isfahan, who asked not to be named, told BBC Persian: “The electrical and production sections of the two companies suffered the most damage. The goal was to stop production. "That's why they damaged the most important parts of these two companies so that they wouldn't be able to restart easily."

در ادامه این حملات، مدیریت ارتباطات گروه فولاد مبارکه در اطلاعیه‌ای در ۱۳ فروردین گفت که این مجتمع برای دومین بار در تاریخ ۱۱ فروردین هدف حمله قرار گرفته است.

بر اساس این اطلاعیه، شدت حملات و حجم خسارات وارده به‌گونه‌ای بوده که خطوط تولید آلیاژی و نیروگاه‌های کارخانه خسارات سنگینی دیده‌اند و تمامی خطوط تولید به‌طور کامل متوقف شده‌اند.

یکی از مدیران شرکت فولاد مبارکه اصفهان، که خواست نامش فاش نشود، به بی‌بی‌سی فارسی گفت: «بخش‌های برقی و تولیدی دو شرکت بیشترین خسارت را دیدند. هدف این بوده که تولید متوقف شوند. به همین دلیل به مهم‌ترین بخش‌های این دو شرکت خسارت زدند تا راه‌اندازی مجدد آن به آسانی صورت نگیرد.»
