DNV confirms the death of colleague Hamid Amini 
It is with great sadness that DNV has received confirmation that our colleague Hamid Amini was killed during a private trip to Iran on 28 February 2026. 
We have been informed that he lost his life in connection with an airstrike on the city of Lamerd in southern Iran. We are in ongoing contact with Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist the family. 
Hamid has been a valued colleague at DNV since 2011 and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.
