The two elder brothers, Haj Qabalan Qabalan, a leader in the Amal Movement and Member of Parliament, and Mustafa Bayram, the Lebanese Minister of Labor and a Hezbollah official, insisted on my participation in the funeral procession of the Iraqi martyr, Dhu al-Fiqar Dirgham, son of my brother and friend Dirgham al-Jubouri, from the heart of the Iraqi Embassy in Beirut. This was despite the fact that their martyrs were falling in the South and the southern suburbs of Beirut at the same time, and despite the immense pain and the enemy aircraft flying overhead. I must record these stances for posterity, for they are an honor.
