One Martyr and Five Wounded in Israeli Airstrike West of Gaza

A Palestinian citizen was martyred and five others sustained varying injuries on Wednesday afternoon following an Israeli airstrike targeting a gathering of civilians west of Gaza City. This occurred amidst continued intensive reconnaissance flights over the Gaza Strip.

Sources reported that the deceased was Basel Mahmoud Abu Warda, 40, a resident of Jabalia al-Nazla. He died from his injuries sustained while near the busy Haider Roundabout. The wounded were transported to hospitals for treatment.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that Israeli warplanes directly targeted a small stall selling household goods, turning the area into a scene of destruction and causing panic among passersby. This comes amid an ongoing escalation by the occupation army against residential neighborhoods and public markets throughout the Gaza Strip.

ارتقى مواطن وفلسطيني وأصيب خمسة آخرون بجـ..ـروح متفاوتة، ظهر اليوم الأربعاء، إثر غارة جوية نفذتها طائرات الاحـ..ـتلال استهدفت تجمعاً للمدنيين غرب مدينة غزة، في ظل استمرار التحليق المكثف لـ "الاستطلاع" في أجواء القطاع.
وأفادت المصادر أن الراحل هو المواطن (باسل محمود أبو وردة - 40 عاماً)، من سكان جباليا النزلة، وقد ارتقى متأثراً بإصابته المباشرة أثناء تواجده في محيط "دوار حيدر" المكتظ بالحركة، فيما نُقل المصـ..ـابون للمشافي لتلقي العلاج.
وأكد شهود عيان أن طائرات العـ..ـدو استهدفت بشكل مباشر "بسطة" تجارية بسيطة لبيع الأدوات المنزلية، مما حول المكان إلى ساحة من الدمار وسط ذعر المارة.
يأتي هذا في سياق تصعيد مستمر ينتهجه جـ..ـيش الاحـ..ـتلال ضد الأحياء السكنية والأسواق الشعبية في كافة مناطق القطاع.
