Today in Irbid, specifically in the Kafrsoum area of the Bani Kinanah district.

A young Jordanian man named Omar Obeidat was standing in his garden.

He wasn't doing anything, just waiting for the Maghrib prayer call.

A perfectly normal moment of tranquility, like any of us who stand a few minutes before the call to prayer,
contemplating the universe, praying, or even just reflecting on the day.

Minutes before the call to prayer began,
suddenly, a piece of shrapnel from a projectile fell and struck him directly.

The scene changed in an instant.

A report was received, and swift action was taken. Civil Defense and security personnel immediately rushed to the scene and secured the area to investigate the circumstances of the incident. The relevant authorities launched an investigation, and all official procedures were implemented immediately after receiving the report.

Omar was transported to Yarmouk Governmental Hospital, where he underwent all necessary tests, including X-rays, CT scans, and thorough examinations to ensure his well-being. But the outcome wasn't easy.

It turned out he had a spinal injury, and his brother said something heartbreaking:

"He can't feel his left leg."

Between the moment he waited for the call to prayer and the moment he entered the emergency room, an entire day was turned upside down.

This story isn't far removed from our own.
This is the story of a young Jordanian man who was in his garden,
in what should have been one of the most peaceful moments of the day, which turned into a difficult ordeal.

We ask God for a speedy recovery for Omar Obeidat,
and we ask God to protect Jordan and every person on this blessed land from all harm.

اليوم في إربد، وتحديدا في منطقة كفرسوم التابعة للواء بني كنانة.
شاب أردني، اسمه عمر عبيدات، كان واقف في حديقة بيته.
مش عامل إشي، بس بستنى أذان المغرب.
لحظة هدوء عادية جدا، مثل أي واحد فينا بوقف قبل الأذان بدقائق،
يتأمل الكون، يدعي، أو حتى يراجع يومه.
قبل ما يرتفع صوت الأذان بدقائق،
فجأة سقطت شظية ناتجة عن جسم ناري مقذوف، وسقطت عليه مباشرة.
المشهد انقلب بلحظة.
بلاغ، حركة سريعة، ونشامى الدفاع المدني والأجهزة الأمنية تحركوا فورا للموقع، وتم تأمين المنطقة للوقوف على ملابسات الحادثة. الجهات المختصة باشرت التحقيق، وكل الإجراءات الرسمية اتخذت مباشرة بعد تلقي البلاغ.
تم نقل عمر إلى مستشفى اليرموك الحكومي، وهناك خضع لكل اللازم، صور إشعاعية، صور طبقية، وفحوصات دقيقة للاطمئنان على حالته.
لكن النتيجة ما كانت سهلة،
تبين أنه تعرض لإصابة في العمود الفقري،
وأخوه حكى جملة وجعت القلب:
"هو ما عم بيشعر برجله اليسار."
بين لحظة انتظار أذان،
ولحظة دخول غرفة الطوارئ، انقلب يوم كامل.
القصة مش بعيدة عنا،
هاي قصة شاب أردني كان بحديقة بيته،
في لحظة كانت من أهدأ لحظات اليوم، فتحولت لامتحان صعب.
نسأل الله الشفاء العاجل لعمر عبيدات،
ونسأل الله أن يحمي الأردن وكل إنسان على هالأرض الطيبة من أي سوء.
