What has befallen us is made easier by the knowledge that it is under God's watchful eye.

It pains me to mourn you, my companions on this path, my brothers and friends. My tongue is unable to describe our feelings of pride, mingled with the anguish and difficulty of parting. It pains us not to carry you on our shoulders in your funeral procession, nor to be among the first to mourn you. Words fail to express our feelings for you. Whoever knew you knew the good, pure, and devoted young men. Everyone who knew you knew those with high aspirations who rushed to serve the stranger before the kin. Each of you holds memories, events, and images that will never fade from our minds. If we were to speak of each of you individually, days and years would not suffice to describe you and your beauty. You were the finest example of the sons of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein from your earliest days. Abu Abdullah insisted on embracing you, and your blood will be the key to our inevitable victory, God willing.

We love you, my brothers, and do not forget us in your prayers, our beloved ones… Your longing brother, Hussein.

هوّن ما نزل بنا، أنه بعين الله..
يعزّ علي ان انعاكم يا رفاق الدرب، يا اخواني ويا اصحابي، يعجز لساني عن وصف شعورنا بالفخر، الممزوج بلوعة الفراق وصعوبته، يعز علينا الا نشيعكم فوق اكتافنا ولا نكون اول الحاضرين في رثائكم، عندكم يعجز الكلام عن التعبير، فمن عرفكم عرف الشبان الطيبين الطاهرين الخدّام، فكل من عرفكم عرف اصحاب الهمم الذين يندفعون لخدمة الغريب قبل القريب، لكل منكم ذكريات واحداث وصور لا تغيب عن بالنا، ولو اردنا الحديث عن كل منكم على حدًا لما كفته الايام والسنين لوصفكم ووصف جمالكم.لقد كنتم نعم الصورة الحسنة عن ابناء ابي عبد الله الحسين منذ نعومة اظافركم، فابى ابو عبد الله الا ان يحتضنكم وتكون دماؤكم مفتاح نصرنا الحتمي ان شاء الله.
