In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

And never think that those who have been killed in the cause of God are dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision. They rejoice in what God has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

We offer our condolences to ourselves and our families on the martyrdom of my cousin, Sheikh Abdul Qadir Hassan Al-Basyouni (Abu Ahmad), and his son, Nidal Abdul Qadir Al-Basyouni (Abu Al-Abd), who were martyred in the Fajr prayer massacre at the Al-Tabi’een School. We say only what pleases our Lord. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed, to Him we will return.

وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ ۝ فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ ۝ .
