A statement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources:
Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and all leaders and employees of the petroleum sector and its companies, mourn the loss of the late Engineer Hossam Sadek Khalifa, Assistant General Manager of Quality at Petrojet – UAE Branch, who passed away while performing his duties at the company's site in Habshan, Abu Dhabi, during evacuation operations following two fires caused by falling debris from an interception by UAE air defenses.
The evacuation also resulted in minor injuries to four others, including two Egyptian employees of the company: Yasser Gomaa Ahmed Abdel Salam (Laboratory Supervisor) and Mohamed Ibrahim Ali Abdel Rahman (Civil Quality Control Engineer). They received the necessary treatment and were discharged from the hospital.
The Egyptian petroleum sector mourns the loss of a dedicated and distinguished member of its staff, recalling with deep appreciation his professional career, characterized by sincerity, devotion, and commitment. The Minister extends his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the martyr of duty, his colleagues at Petrojet Company, and all workers in the petroleum sector, stressing that full support will be provided to the family of the deceased in this painful tragedy.

بيان صادر عن وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية:
ينعي المهندس كريم بدوي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، وجميع قيادات قطاع البترول والعاملين بشركاته، شهيد الواجب المغفور له بإذن الله تعالى المهندس حسام صادق خليفة، مدير عام مساعد الجودة بشركة بتروجت – فرع دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، والذي وافته المنية أثناء أداء مهام عمله بموقع الشركة في حبشان بإمارة أبوظبي، خلال عمليات الإخلاء في أعقاب اندلاع حريقين بالموقع نتيجة سقوط شظايا إثر عملية اعتراض من قبل الدفاعات الجوية الإماراتية.
وأسفر الإخلاء أيضاً عن إصابة أربعة آخرين بإصابات طفيفة، من بينهم اثنان من العاملين بالشركة يحملان الجنسية المصرية، هما: ياسر جمعة أحمد عبد السلام (مشرف معمل)، ومحمد إبراهيم علي عبد الرحمن (مهندس ضبط جودة مدني)، حيث تلقيا العلاج اللازم وغادرا المستشفى.
وينعي قطاع البترول المصري ابناً باراً وكادراً متميزاً، مستذكراً بكل التقدير مسيرة الفقيد المهنية، وما اتسمت به من إخلاص وتفانٍ والتزام.
ويتقدم الوزير بخالص التعازي وصادق المواساة إلى أسرة شهيد الواجب، وزملائه في شركة بتروجت، وجميع العاملين بقطاع البترول، مؤكداً تقديم كامل الدعم لأسرة الفقيد في هذا المصاب الأليم.
