Israel Targeted a Hezbollah Commander in the Mezzeh Attack

Special sources revealed to Sawt al-Asima the identity of the target in the Israeli airstrikes that hit residential buildings in the Mezzeh neighborhood on Tuesday evening, October 8.

Sources told Sawt al-Asima that the target of the operation was a Lebanese commander named “Hajj Ziad,” affiliated with the Hezbollah militia, and one of its liaison officers responsible for military operations outside Lebanon.

إسرائيل استهدفت قيادي في حـ.ـزب الله خلال هجوم المزة
كشفت مصادر خاصة لـ صوت العاصمة شخصية المستهدف في الغارات الإسرائيلية التي طالت أبنية سكنية في حي المزة مساء الثلاثاء 8 تشرين الأول الجاري.
وقالت مصادر صوت العاصمة إنّ المستهدف من العملية قيادي لبناني يُدعى “الحاج زياد” يتبع لميليشيا حـ.ـزب الله وهو واحد من ضباط الارتباط الذين يتولون مهام عسكرية خارج لبنان.
وأوضحت المصادر أنّ “الحاج زياد” كان يقطن في الطابق الثاني، الذي تعرّض للتدمير بشكل كُلي ومقتل الحاج زياد، فيما تعرضت الطوابق العليا والسُفلى من البناء لأضرار جسيمة وخسائر بالأرواح من المدنيين.
