The comprehensive destruction and systematic looting of state institutions occurring today, and the country being dragged into an *international war* in which we have no stake, are a direct result of the Houthi policies that know no bounds of destruction. During the conflict, no one was spared: not the innocent, not those seeking a livelihood, nor even those who chose the path of knowledge and work, such as *Dr. Salim Abdullah Abdo Ahmed Al-Wateeri*, who paid with his life for this absurdity. The Yemeni citizen has become a double victim: a victim of external bombardment and a victim of internal militias that relentlessly drag the country toward the abyss. How many lives have been lost, how many dreams have been buried under the rubble, and how many mothers have lost their sons, just as we lost today *Dr. Salim Abdullah Abdo Ahmed Al-Wateeri*, whose name will remain etched in the memory of all who knew him.
