An Israeli special forces force kidnapped the director of field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Marwan al-Hamas, while he was visiting the Red Cross hospital. The Palestinian Ministry of Health condemns the operation and holds the occupation responsible for his safety. The Israeli operation also resulted in the death of journalist Tamer al-Za'anin and the injury of journalist Ibrahim Abu Amsha and administrative officer Bilal Barhoum, who was Dr. Marwan's companion.
