A wave of sympathy swept across Kuwait for an Egyptian resident who lost his arm in the Iranian drone attack on Kuwait International Airport.
Social media witnessed a widespread outpouring of public sympathy in Kuwait for the tragedy of Egyptian resident Mamdouh Abdel-Ali Mohamed, whose hand was severed when Iran directly targeted Kuwait International Airport with a drone while he was working in Terminal 1.
The tragedy of young Ayed Al-Otaibi, who lost his leg in the same Iranian attack, had previously trended in the Gulf region.
An initial report on those injured in the Iranian attack on Kuwait International Airport and transferred to Farwaniya Hospital revealed 38 injuries of varying severity among employees, passengers, and workers of seven different nationalities, including 12 Kuwaitis. Official statistics indicated that the total number of injured exceeded 63.
According to the report, the injuries ranged from cuts and shrapnel wounds to head and limb injuries, as well as cases of suffocation due to smoke inhalation. وبحسب البيانات الواردة في الكشف، تنوعت الإصابات بين جروح وشظايا وإصابات بالرأس والأطراف وحالات اختناق نتيجة استنشاق الدخان.
فيما سُجلت إصابات بليغة شملت قطعاً كاملاً بالقدم اليسرى للمصاب الكويتي عايض العتيبي وقطعاً باليد اليسرى للمقيم المصري ممدوح عبد العلي محمد، إضافة إلى حالات جروح قطعية وإصابات متعددة بالشظايا.
