Raqqa | SDF Militia Launches Large-Scale Arrest Campaign in Al-Asadiya Farm with Coalition Air Support

This morning, the SDF militia launched a new arrest campaign in Al-Asadiya farm, north of Raqqa city, with direct support from international coalition aircraft that flew over the area during the operation.

Local sources reported that the campaign targeted a number of civilians, amidst a state of tension and public discontent due to the night raids and arbitrary arrests that have become increasingly frequent in the northern Raqqa countryside, without any clear reasons being given or charges being brought against those arrested.

This campaign comes amidst a recent escalation of security measures in SDF-controlled areas, coinciding with intensified activity by the international coalition throughout northeastern Syria.

شنت ميليشيا قسد، صباح اليوم، حملة اعتقالات جديدة في مزرعة الأسدية شمال مدينة #الرقة، وذلك بإسناد مباشر من طيران التحالف الدولي الذي حلق في سماء المنطقة أثناء تنفيذ العملية.
وأفادت مصادر محلية بأن الحملة طالت عدداً من المدنيين، وسط حالة من التوتر والاستياء الشعبي نتيجة المداهمات الليلية والاعتقالات التعسفية التي باتت تتكرر في مناطق الريف الشمالي للرقة، دون الإفصاح عن أسباب واضحة أو توجيه تهم للمعتقلين.
وتأتي هذه الحملة ضمن تصعيد أمني تشهده مناطق سيطرة قسد مؤخراً، وسط تحركات مكثفة للتحالف الدولي في عموم شمال شرقي سوريا.
