Panic gripped cancer patients and medical staff at the Turkish Friendship Hospital, the only cancer hospital in the Gaza Strip, after it sustained damage due to repeated Israeli attacks on its surroundings.

Dr. Subhi Skeik, the hospital's director, stated that the Israeli occupation has not only exacerbated the suffering of cancer patients by depriving them of medication and the ability to travel abroad for treatment, but is now also endangering their lives by targeting the hospital's vicinity. This forced medical staff to evacuate patients from the upper wards and secure them in the basement to protect them from the shelling.

The images show some of the damage inflicted on the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital last night in the central Gaza Strip as a result of the attacks in its vicinity. It is worth mentioning that the hospital was built with a generous donation from the Turkish government, becoming a model of humanitarian medical care that alleviates the suffering of patients exhausted by the Israeli siege.

Dr. Skeik emphasizes that the occupying power is now displaying its brutality and seeks to destroy this edifice, which embodies a part of the Turkish people's love for the Palestinian people.

The hospital's director general calls upon the Turkish presidency and government to stop the Israeli aggression and protect this humanitarian medical facility, which has represented a significant transformation in cancer patient care in the Gaza Strip.

مما اضطر الطواقم الصحية باجلاء المرضى من الأقسام العلوية وتأمينهم في البدروم للحفاظ على حياتهم وحمايتهم من القصف

الجدير ذكره ان المستشفى شيد بتبرع كريم من الحكومة التركية ليصبح نموذجا انسانياً طبيا يخفف من معاناة المرضى الذي انهكهم الحصار الاسرائيلي...
ويؤكد د.سكيك على ان هذا المحتل اليوم يظهر وبكل وحشية ويريد ان ينال من هذا الصرح الذي يجسد جزءا من حب الشعب التركي لشعبنا الفلسطيني
ويطالب مدير عام المستشفى الرئاسة والحكومة التركية بوقف العربدة الاسرائيلية وحماية هذا الصرح الانساني الطبي الذي شكل تحولا مهما في رعاية مرضى السرطان في قطاع غزة
