The military intelligence of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out a raid and arrest campaign at dawn on Wednesday, targeting dozens of people in the northern and western countryside of Raqqa. The operation focused on the towns of Khneiz, Hazima, Tishrin, Kabsh, and Salhabiya.

During the campaign, the SDF arrested 20 young men who were immediately transferred to the juvenile detention center in Raqqa city for interrogation by intelligence and the General Security Directorate. They were accused of dealing and communicating with entities hostile to the SDF-affiliated Autonomous Administration.

Local media sources indicated that the majority of those arrested had participated in celebrations several days earlier in Raqqa city marking the signing of an agreement between the Syrian government and the SDF, which stipulates the latter's integration into the Syrian Ministry of Defense.

وأشارت مصادر إعلامية محلية إلى أن غالبية المعتقلين من الذين شاركوا في الاحتفالات قبل عدة أيام في مدينة الرقة بمناسبة توقيع اتفاق بين الحكومة السورية و “قسد” يقضي باندماج الأخيرة في صفوف وزارة الدفاع السورية.
