The Ministry of Public Health mourns the healthcare workers in Burj Qalawiya who were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the primary healthcare center in the town.

Twelve doctors, paramedics, and nurses on duty at the center were killed, and one healthcare worker was injured. This is still the initial toll as rescue operations continue to search for missing persons.

The Ministry condemns this attack on one of its centers, part of the primary healthcare network spread throughout Lebanon. It reiterates its condemnation of the ongoing violence against healthcare workers, which violates all international humanitarian laws. This attack is the second in just a few hours, following the attack on paramedics in Al-Sawana.

نعت وزارة الصحة العامة العاملين الصحيين في برج قلاويه الذين استشهدوا بغارة للعدو الإسرائيلي استهدفت مركز الرعاية الصحية الأولية في البلدة.
وقد استشهد 12 من الأطباء والمسعفين والممرضين الذين كانوا مناوبين في المركز إضافة إلى إصابة عامل صحي بجروح. ولا تزال هذه الحصيلة الأولية مع استمرار عمليات الإنقاذ بحثا عن مفقودين.
إن الوزارة تشجب هذا الاعتداء على مركز تابع لها من ضمن شبكة الرعاية الصحية الأولية المنتشرة على كامل الأراضي اللبنانية، وتجدد استنكارها وإدانتها للأسلوب العنفي المتمادي ضد العاملين الصحيين الذي يناقض كل القوانين الإنسانية الدولية، علما بأن الاعتداء هو الثاني في غصون بضع ساعات، بعد الاعتداء على المسعفين في الصوانة.
