Last night, the SDF informed the International Coalition of the presence of an ISIS cell in the village of Jadida Kahit, east of Raqqa. The two sides then conducted a security operation on a civilian home.

The operation resulted in the martyrdom of a woman in her seventies, Fatim al-Battal, and her son, Jassim al-Laji, and the arrest of her other son, Ibrahim al-Laji.

The Syrian government, as a member of the International Coalition, must demand an explanation regarding the operation and protest the SDF's use of the accusation of ISIS affiliation to attack, kill, and arrest civilians simply for opposing the SDF.

أبلغت قسد التحالف الدولي ليلة أمس بوجود خلية لداعش في قرية "جديدة كحيط" شرق الرقة، ونفذ الطرفان عملية أمنية على منزل مدني.
أسفرت العملية عن استشهاد امرأة سبعينية "فطيم البتال" وابنها "جاسم اللجي" واعتقال ابنها الثاني "إبراهيم اللجي".
على الحكومة السورية بصفتها عضوًا في التحالف الدولي أن تطلب توضيحًا بخصوص العملية، وأن تحتج على استخدام قسد تهمة الانتماء لداعش لمهاجمة المدنيين وقتلهم واعتقالهم، لمجرد كونهم معارضين لقسد.
