With hearts filled with sorrow and grief that grips our souls, we mourn our dear cousin and beloved friend, Musab al-Durrah, who was martyred yesterday in a treacherous bombing.
You have departed, Musab, but your memory will remain in our hearts as long as we live. Our solace is that you ascended to martyrdom while fasting during these blessed days.
We ask God to accept you among the highest ranks of Paradise, to compensate you for your lost youth in the Gardens of Bliss, to make your blood a source of light and elevation for you, and to grant us and your family patience and comfort.
To God we belong, and to Him we shall return.
