Praise be to God, before and after. To God belongs what He gives and to God belongs what He takes, and everything with Him is by measure. O God, I entrust my family to You, so accept them among the highest ranks of Paradise. We consider them martyrs in the sight of God, and we do not presume to judge anyone before God. Those of noble character are my pride and strength: My father, the crown of my head and my pride, Professor Muhammad Issa Muhammad Qannan (Abu Issa); my mother, the pulse of my life, my companion on this journey, and my refuge after God, the esteemed Professor Zahdiya Mahmoud Darwish Qannan (Umm Issa); my sister, the kind-hearted Wisal Muhammad Issa Qannan; my brother, the compassionate and virtuous, the engineer Mahmoud Muhammad Issa Qannan (Abu Jihad), and his wife Khitam Abu Awda, their unborn child, and their five children: Mayar Mahmoud Muhammad Qannan (12 years old), Muhammad Mahmoud Muhammad Qannan (10 years old), Reem Mahmoud Muhammad Qannan (7 years old), Omar Mahmoud Muhammad Qannan (5 years old), and Lina Mahmoud Muhammad Qannan (3 years old)

In this profound tragedy, we can only say, "To God we belong, and to Him we shall return."
O God, have mercy on them and cleanse them of sins and transgressions as a white garment is cleansed of dirt.
O God, widen their grave, illuminate it, and grant them a place of honor with the prophets and the righteous.
O God, I do not ask You to avert Your decree, but I ask for Your kindness within it.
There is no power nor strength except with God, the Most High, the Almighty.

اللهم اني لا اسالك رد القضاء ولكن اسالك اللطف فيه
لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله العلي العظيم
