A Bangladeshi man has been killed in Dubai after being hit by drone debris amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The deceased, Shah Alam Bhuiyan, was a resident of Brahmanpara upazila of Comilla and had been working in Dubai for about 10 years. According to local sources, he died on the spot after the drone crashed while he was working on a farm in Fujairah. The UAE authorities said that their air defense system had shot down a drone, the debris of which fell in the area. The family of the deceased has sought government assistance to quickly repatriate the body. The administration has assured to take necessary measures in this regard.

মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের চলমান সংঘাতের প্রভাবে Dubai-তে ড্রোনের ধ্বংসাবশেষ পড়ে এক বাংলাদেশি নিহত হয়েছেন। নিহত Shah Alam Bhuiyan কুমিল্লার ব্রাহ্মণপাড়া উপজেলার বাসিন্দা এবং প্রায় ১০ বছর ধরে দুবাইয়ে কাজ করছিলেন। স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, ফুজাইরাহর একটি খামারে কাজ করার সময় ড্রোন ভূপাতিত হওয়ার পর এর ধ্বংসাবশেষ তার ওপর পড়ে, ঘটনাস্থলেই তিনি মারা যান। সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের কর্তৃপক্ষ জানায়, তাদের আকাশ প্রতিরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা একটি ড্রোন ভূপাতিত করেছিল, যার ধ্বংসাবশেষ ওই এলাকায় পড়ে। নিহতের পরিবার মরদেহ দ্রুত দেশে ফেরত আনার জন্য সরকারের সহায়তা চেয়েছে। প্রশাসন এ বিষয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার আশ্বাস দিয়েছে।
