Martyr Paramedic Mehdi Abu Zeid – Nabatieh Ambulance

Mehdi, my cousin… was more than just a name; he was a vibrant life, a father to his family, and a man full of dreams he could have lived in safety. But he chose a more difficult path, the path of sacrifice.

Despite all the opportunities he had to escape danger, he decided to stay in the South, where the pain was greatest, and where the need for him was greatest. He never hesitated; he was always there to treat the wounded, stand by the people, and give them hope in their darkest moments. He lived for the people… and for the people.

Today, Mehdi ascended to martyrdom while performing his humanitarian duty. He fell in a treacherous airstrike while saving lives. He departed as he lived: courageous, loyal, and devoted to his cause.

Mehdi did not die… he was immortalized.

He was immortalized by his humanity, his sacrifice, and his love for a homeland whose true meaning few understand, and whose safety few fear as he did. May God have mercy on you, Mahdi, and may your pure blood be a light on the path of this nation.

مهدي، ابن خالتي… لم يكن مجرد اسم، بل كان حياةً نابضة، وأبًا لعائلة، وإنسانًا مليئًا بالأحلام التي كان يستطيع أن يعيشها بأمان. لكنه اختار طريقًا أصعب، طريق التضحية.
رغم كل الفرص التي كانت أمامه ليبتعد عن الخطر، قرر أن يبقى في الجنوب، حيث الوجع أكبر، وحيث الحاجة إليه أكبر. لم يتردد يومًا، كان حاضرًا دائمًا ليسعف الجرحى، ويقف إلى جانب الناس، ويمنحهم الأمل في أصعب
اللحظات. كان يعيش للناس… ومن أجل الناس.
واليوم، ارتقى مهدي شهيدًا، وهو يؤدي رسالته الإنسانية، سقط بغارة غادرة بينما كان ينقذ الأرواح. رحل كما عاش: شجاعًا، وفيًا، ومخلصًا لقضيته.
مهدي لم يمت… بل خُلّد.
خُلّد بإنسانيته، بتضحيته، وبحبه لوطنٍ قلّة من يدركون معناه الحقيقي، ويخافون عليه كما خاف هو.
