They were merely walking behind trucks carrying goods, guarding the livelihood, nothing more.
Their only crime was that they were seeking to provide for the lives of others. They chose to stand with the hungry, not as spectators. They carried the concerns of the people, not as weapons against them.
How can someone who secures the trucks be bombed? How can work become a target for murder during a time of siege?
What kind of military logic sees trucks as a danger and their companions as an enemy?
Who tells mothers that their sons were martyred to feed others?
Peace be upon their souls that soared above the trucks, peace be upon their honorable efforts, for honorable people do not let down the hungry, even if the price is their lives. O God, make their blood a light, and their place in the highest heavens. Grant their mothers patience befitting the enormity of the loss, and a reward that matches the pain of separation. Bind the hearts of my family, as You bound the heart of Moses' mother. O God, accept them among the martyrs, and write them among those who sacrificed not for themselves, but for the lives of others.

كيف يُقصف من يؤمّن الشاحنات كيف يصبح العمل في زمن الحصار هدفًا للقتل؟
أي منطقٍ عسكري يرى في الشاحنات خطرًا، وفي مرافقيها عدوًا؟
من يُخبر الأمهات أن أبناءهن ارتقوا ليُطعمون غيرهم؟
سلامٌ على أرواحهم التي حلّقت فوق الشاحنات، سلامٌ على سعيهم الشريف، فالشرفاء لا يخذلون الجائعين حتى لو كان الثمن حياتهم..
اللهُمَّ اجعل دماءهم نورًا، ومقامهم في عليين، وارزق أمّهاتهم صبرًا يليق بعظمة الفقد، وأجراً يضاهي ألم الفراق، واربط على قلوب عالتي ، كما ربطت على قلب أم موسى..
