An Iraqi intelligence officer named Sarmad (may God have mercy on him), a resident of Kirkuk, was killed by a drone that targeted the headquarters of the Iraqi Intelligence Service in the Mansour district of central Baghdad.

The Prime Minister, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, the National Security Advisor, and the Director of the Intelligence Service are all aware of the party that launched the two drones, and they have complete information about the perpetrators.

However, they cannot arrest the leadership of the group because they threatened days ago that if they are targeted, their members will take up arms against any security force that arrests them.

This is what is happening, but the government is not informing Parliament or the Iraqi people about this matter. They will rush to deny it and will only issue statements and form committees, claiming that they have arrested some individuals, as happens every time. But they will not reveal who these individuals are or what their crimes are, because it is simply a lie and an attempt to appease public anger and cover up their incompetence.

ضابط مخابرات عراقي يُدعى سرمد (رحمه الله)، من سكنة كركوك، قتلته طائرة مُسيّرة استهدفت مقر جهاز المخابرات العراقي في منطقة المنصور وسط العاصمة العراقية بغداد.
الجهة التي أطلقت الطائرتين المُسيّرتين يعلمها رئيس الوزراء ورئيس مجلس القضاء ومستشار الأمن القومي ومدير جهاز المخابرات، ولديهم معلومات كاملة عن الجهة المنفذة.
لكنهم لا يستطيعون اعتقال قيادة الجهة المنفذة لأنها هدّدت قبل أيام بأنه في حال التعرض لها، سيحمل عناصرها السلاح ضد أي قوة أمنية تعتقل أفرادها.
هذا ما يحصل، لكن الحكومة لا تُطلع البرلمان أو الشعب العراقي على هذا الأمر، وسوف يسارعون إلى نفي ذلك ويكتفون بالبيانات وتشكيل اللجان، ويذكرون أنهم اعتقلوا عناصر كما يحدث في كل مرة، لكنهم لا يكشفون من هم ولا ما هي جرائمهم، لأنه ببساطة كذب ومحاولة لامتصاص غضب الشارع والتغطية على عجزهم
