During a precise and successful security operation, our forces dismantled a dangerous ISIS cell in the southern Hasakah countryside.

Yesterday, Sunday, our commando forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with support from the International Coalition, carried out a focused and well-executed security operation targeting and dismantling a dangerous ISIS terrorist cell in the town of Markada, in the southern Hasakah countryside.

The operation followed meticulous and continuous monitoring of the terrorist cell's movements by our forces. After gathering intelligence and pinpointing their hideout, our forces raided the location and imposed a tight cordon. The terrorists opened fire on our forces, prompting a response. Clashes ensued, resulting in the death of one terrorist. The cell's leader, known as Nawas, detonated the explosive belt he was wearing, killing himself instantly. The operation concluded successfully without any losses to our forces. Two terrorists were killed, and five other members of the cell were apprehended.

The terrorist cell was responsible for attacks targeting oil tankers and Internal Security Forces checkpoints in several areas of northern and eastern Syria. Following surveillance and with support from the international coalition, its location was pinpointed; its members were based in the town of Markada, from where they planned to carry out large-scale attacks, including an attack on Panorama Prison, which houses ISIS terrorists in the city of Hasakah.

The media center will release detailed information about the members of the terrorist cell, their movements, and their terrorist plans at a later date. During the operation, our forces seized a number of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment from the terrorists, as follows:
1- Six Kalashnikov rifles
2- 413 rounds of Kalashnikov ammunition
3- 23 Kalashnikov magazines
4- Seven hand grenades
5- Five military pouches
6- Five touchscreen mobile phones. Our forces affirm their continued pursuit of the remnants of ISIS terrorist cells, despite the organization's attempts to exploit the Turkish occupation attacks on our areas and carry out terrorist acts targeting our forces, civilians, and vital infrastructure in the region. Our forces will not tolerate any force that threatens the security and stability of our areas or attempts to undermine civil peace.

‏خلال عملية أمنية دقيقة وناجحة.. قواتنا تفكك خلية خطيرة لـ"داعش" بريف الحسكة الجنوبي
نفذت قوات "الكوماندوس" التابعة لقواتنا، قوات سوريا الديمقراطية، أمس، الأحد، وبدعم من التحالف الدولية عملية أمنية مركزة ومحكمة، استهدفت تفكيك خلية خطيرة لتنظيم "داعش" الإرهابي في بلدة "مركدة"، بريف الحسكة الجنوبي.
جرت العملية بعد متابعة دقيقة ومستمرة من قبل قواتنا لتحركات الخلية الإرهابية، وحين استكمال عملية جمع المعلومات وتحديد مكان اختبائها؛ داهمت قواتنا ذاك المكان وفرضت عليه طوقاً محكماً، حيث بادر الإرهابيون إلى إطلاق النار على قواتنا، ما استدعى الرد بالمثل، وعلى إثره اندلعت اشتباكات، أسفرت عن مقتل أحد الإرهابيين، فيما فجر أمير الخلية المدعو "نواس" الحزام الناسف الذي كان يرتديه ما أدى إلى مقتله على الفور، وانتهت العملية بنجاح تام ودون أي خسارة من قبل قواتنا، حيث قتل إرهابيان وتم إلقاء القبض على خمسة إرهابيين آخرين من أعضاء الخلية.
وكانت الخلية الإرهابية مسؤولة عن الهجمات الإرهابية التي استهدفت صهاريج النفط وحواجز قوى الامن الداخلي بمناطق عدة في شمال وشرق سوريا، ونتيجة الرصد وبدعم من التحالف الدولي تم تثبيت مكان تواجدها حيث تمركز عناصرها في بلدة "مركدة" لتنفيذ مخططات واسعة النطاق ومن ضمنها الهجوم على سجن بانوراما والذي يحوي عناصر تنظيم داعش الإرهابي بمدينة الحسكة.
وسينشر المركز الإعلامي خلال فترة لاحقة معلومات مفصلة عن أعضاء الخلية الإرهابية وتحركاتهم وخططهم الإرهابية.
وخلال العملية، صادرت قواتنا عدداً من الأسلحة إضافة إلى كمية من الذخيرة والمعدات العسكرية بحوزة الإرهابيين، وهي كالتالي:
１- أسلحة كلاشينكوف عدد /6/
２- طلقات كلاشينكوف عدد /413/ طلقة
３- مخازن سلاح كلاشينكوف عدد /23/ مخزناً
４- قنابل يدوية عدد /7/ قنابل
５- جعب عسكرية عدد /5/ جعب
６- أجهزة خليوية" لمس" عدد /5/ أجهزة
وتؤكد قواتنا على استمرارها في ملاحقة فلول خلايا تنظيم "داعش" الإرهابي، رغم محاولة التنظيم استغلال هجمات الاحتلال التركي على مناطقنا والقيام بتنفيذ أعمال إرهابية تستهدف قواتنا والمدنيين، إضافة إلى المنشآت الحيوية في المنطقة، إلا أن قواتنا لن تتهاون مع أي قوة تهدد أمن واستقرار مناطقنا، أو تحاول زعزعة السلم الأهلي فيها.
