For the second night, my heart aches, my beloved children, Aya and Abdullah, lie beneath the rubble, crushed under tons of debris. They were neither buried like martyrs, nor rescued like the living and the wounded. For such a tragedy, the heart melts with grief, if there remains any Islam or faith in it.

تمكث قطع قلبي، وفلذات كبدي #آية و #عبدالله تحت الأنقاض .. تحت أطنان تطبق على أفئدتهم الرقيقة
فلا هم دفنوا كما الشهداء .. ولا تم إنقاذهم كالأحياء والجرحى
لمثل هذا يـذوبُ القلبُ من كمدٍ *** إن كان في القلــب إسلامٌ وإيمان
