A security operation by the International Coalition, in conjunction with Iraqi forces, launched from Iraq, targeted the villages of Rabi'a and Iskenderun in the Tal Khamis district of Syria's Hasakah Governorate.

The operation, which involved Coalition aircraft and a large security force, resulted in the arrest of a young man named Saad Mahjoub al-Bardawil, a mill owner in his thirties, from the village of Iskenderun.
