Following up on the previous incident in the Homs desert, two unidentified helicopters conducted an airdrop in the Al-Satih area of the Al-Amour Mountains, east of Homs, targeting a cluster of shepherds' homes. An armed force (speaking Arabic), accompanied by police dogs, stormed four houses and searched them. The force stole belongings from two of the houses (mobile phones and money) and confiscated personal firearms used by the shepherds to protect their sheep.

They then circled the area around Al-Satih before landing on a flock of sheep belonging to 27-year-old Farhan Saleh Al-Khaled Al-Hazza'i. They killed him and shot his guard dog. The helicopters then left the area. The young victim was a shepherd with no affiliations to any political or military group, nor did the owners of the raided houses. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the background of the perpetrators is unknown.

‏في متابعة للحادثة السابقة في بادية حمص، ــــ قامت طائرتان مروحيتان مجهولتا التَبعية، بإنزال جوي على منطقة “السَطيح” في جبال العُمور شرقي حمص، واستهدفت تجمعاً لمنازل رُعاة الأغنام في تلك المنطقة. قوة مسلحة ( ناطقة بالعربية) يرافقها كلاب بوليسية اقتحمت (4) منازل وقامت بتفتيشها، وقام عناصر تلك القوة بسرقة بعض المقتنيات من منزلين [موبايلات + أموال]، ثم صادروا قطع سلاح شخصية يستخدمها الرعاة في حماية أغنامهم.
تلاها قاموا بالتحليق بمحيط منطقة السيطح، ثم هبطوا على قطيع أغنام قريب من المنطقة، تعود ملكيته للشاب "فرحان صالح الخالد الهزاعي" (27) سنة. وقاموا بقتلهِ وإطلاق النار على كلب الحراسة الخاص به. ثم غادرت الطائرات الموقع. ــــ الشاب الضحية "راعي غنم" وليس لديه أي ارتباطات بأي جهة سياسية أو عسكرية. وكذلك أصحاب المنازل التي تمت مداهمتها. لم تتبنى أي جهة المسؤولية عن العملية، ولم تُعرف خلفية منفذي العملية.
