The Tamer Institute for Community Education mourns the loss of Yousef Dawas, a young activist in the Institute's literary youth teams in Gaza: "Yar'at" and "Voices from Palestine."

With the occupation's assassination of Yousef, we lose an irreplaceable voice of Palestine. A voice we knew intimately, and whose words, laughter, and images will always remain with us.

Yousef was an avid reader and writer, with a special love for expressing himself in English. He was also a storyteller, photographer, and writer, and through his writings, he shared his profound love of life, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Our hearts and minds are with all the young Palestinian men and women targeted by the occupation today, who are witnessing this brutality unfold before their very eyes.

We all hope for justice and freedom for our people in the near future.

The Tamer Institute mourns the loss of Yousef Dawas. Yousef was a member of the literary youth teams "Yar'at" and "Voices from Palestine." Like the rest of the voices in Palestine, Yousef's loss is one that cannot be captured by words.
Yousef was a passionate reader and writer, with a particular fondness for expressing himself in English. He also enjoyed horseback riding and photography among other hobbies. Through his writings, he shared his deep love for life in expressing himself even amid the most challenging circumstances.
Tamer Institute pays tribute to all the Palestinian youth and children intentionally killed in this ongoing and brutal aggression.
We hope for justice to prevail in the near future, and peace for the hardened hearts.

تنعى مؤسسة تامر للتعليم المجتمعي الشاب يوسف دوّاس الناشط في فرق الشباب الأدبية التابعة للمؤسسة في غزة؛ "يراعات" و"أصوات من فلسطين".
باغتيال الإحتلال ليوسف نفقد صوتاً من أصوات فلسطين التي لا يعوضها أيّ صوت. صوت عرفناه بشكل وثيق، وستظل كلماته وضحكاته وصوره معنا دوماً.
كان يوسف قارئًا وكاتبًا متحمساً، مع حب خاص للتعبير عن نفسه باللغة الإنجليزية. كما كان خيّالاً ومصوّراً وكاتباً وبنصوصه شارك حبه العميق للحياة حتى في أصعب الظروف.
قلوبنا وعقولنا مع جميع الشباب والأطفال الفلسطينيين/ات الذين يستهدفهم الإحتلال اليوم، والذين يشهدون هذه الوحشية وهي تتكشف أمام عيونهم.
كلنا أمل بتحقق العدالة والحرية لشعبنا في المستقبل القريب.
