The only son of the Khatami family and the older brother of a 10-year-old girl was martyred on March 29, at around 4:30 PM, during the Israeli regime's missile attack on the sports hall in the town of Isar Lamerd.
In this crime, an American-Zionist missile first hit the surrounding houses, causing children and teenagers who were playing on the volleyball and football fields of the sports complex to run towards the exit in panic; but two consecutive missiles fired at the complex did not give these children any time and left four bloody tulips on the stadium field.
Apart from Ilya, the Khatami family also has a 10-year-old girl who is going through the most difficult days of her life these days.

نهم اسفندماه حوالی ساعت ۱۶:۳۰ بود که سالن ورزشی شهرک ایثار لامرد هدف موشک‌های رژیم صهیونیستی قرار گرفت و ایلیای ۱۲ ساله را آسمانی کرد؛ نوجوانی که قرار بود فردای آن روز پدرش را سورپرایز کند، اما موشک‌های کودک‌کش این فرصت را از او گرفتند.
به گزارش ایرنا، ایلیا، نهم اسفندماه در سالن ورزشی شهرک ایثار لامرد هدف موشک‌های رژیم صهیونیستی قرار گرفت تا بار دیگر خون کودکان بی‌گناه این سرزمین جاری شود؛ در میان چهار کودک شهید این جنایت، پیکر مطهر ایلیای ۱۲ ساله بود؛ نوجوانی که پدرش می‌گوید او تنها فرزند من نبود، فرزند ایران بود.
تنها پسر خانواده خاتمی و برادر بزرگتر یک دختر ۱۰ ساله، نهم اسفندماه حوالی ساعت ۱۶:۳۰ در جریان حمله موشکی رژیم صهیونیستی به سالن ورزشی شهرک ایثار لامرد به شهادت رسید.
در این جنایت، ابتدا یک موشک آمریکایی-صهیونیستی به خانه‌های اطراف برخورد کرد و کودکان و نوجوانانی را که در زمین والیبال و فوتبال مجموعه ورزشی مشغول بازی بودند، وحشت زده به سوی در خروجی دوید؛ اما دو موشک متوالی که به سوی مجموعه شلیک شد، به این کودکان مهلت نداد و چهار لاله خونین بر زمین ورزشگاه نقش بست.
خانواده خاتمی غیر از ایلیا، یک دختر ۱۰ ساله نیز دارد که این روزها سخت‌ترین روزهای زندگی خود را پشت سر می‌گذارد.
