Tehran (IRNA) – Iran's Department of the Environment announced that the daughter-in-law and two sons of a ranger in Hormozgan Province were killed in a U.S. attack on a ranger station.
According to IRNA, citing the Department of the Environment's Public Relations Office, Shina Ansari issued a message offering condolences over the deaths of the two sons and daughter-in-law of ranger Javad Hassanzadeh following an attack on a ranger station in Hajjiabad County, Hormozgan Province.
Ansari's statement reads:
"On Tuesday evening (14 July), a tragic and heartbreaking incident occurred in Hajjiabad County, Hormozgan Province, in which the two sons and daughter-in-law of ranger Javad Hassanzadeh were killed. This painful loss, which occurred as a result of an attack by the American enemy, has brought profound sorrow to the larger community of rangers, the staff of the Department of the Environment, and the people of Hormozgan Province.
I extend my sincere condolences to the family of the dedicated ranger Javad Hassanzadeh, the country's environmental community, and the people of Hormozgan Province."
The head of the Department of the Environment also honoured those killed in the incident, stating that their memory "will remain alive and enduring in the history of this country."
Brigadier General Reza Rastgar, commander of the Department of the Environment's Protection Unit, said that the Seyyed Jovzar ranger station in the Taram Protected Area of Hormozgan Province was struck by two projectiles. According to him, the two sons and daughter-in-law of one of the station's game wardens were killed, while the station building and all of its equipment were completely destroyed.
He said that on the evening of Tuesday, 14 July 2026, the Seyyed Jovzar ranger station, located in the Taram Protected Area of Hajjiabad County, Hormozgan Province, was hit by two projectiles.
Rastgar added that the victims—two sons and the daughter-in-law of game warden Javad Hassanzadeh—were present at the station at the time of the attack. Hassanzadeh himself was unharmed because he was on a patrol and monitoring mission elsewhere in the protected area.
Explaining the working conditions of Iranian game wardens, Rastgar said that due to staff shortages and the remoteness of many protected areas from towns and population centres, some game wardens live at ranger stations with their families. In this incident, members of one such family lost their lives.
He said that the Taram Protected Area covers approximately 20,000 hectares, lies around 20 km south of Hajjiabad and 150 km north of Bandar Abbas, and provides habitat for valuable mammal, bird, and reptile species. The Seyyed Jovzar ranger station was the area's only ranger station and was completely destroyed in the attack, along with all of its equipment.
Offering condolences to the bereaved family, the game warden community, and the people of Hormozgan Province, Rastgar also commented on the environmental consequences of war. He said that since the beginning of the war, several environmental facilities had been damaged by airstrikes. He said the family members were killed in the early hours of Tuesday morning when U.S. forces struck the ranger station in the village of Seyyed Jovzar, in Hajjiabad County in northern Hormozgan Province.
Offering condolences, Masihi Taziani described the attack as "another chapter in the criminal conduct of the United States."
He added that the protection of environmental sites, game wardens, and related facilities is emphasised under international law.
He also said that the ranger station was located in the rural Seyyed Jovzar area of Hajjiabad County and that the Department of the Environment's fodder storage facility was also damaged in the attack.
Masihi Taziani concluded that the killing of this innocent family "is undoubtedly an example of a war crime" and said that international institutions should respond to the incident.

به گزارش ایرنا از روابط عمومی سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست، شینا انصاری در پیامی شهادت ۲ فرزند و عروس محیطبان جواد حسنزاده را در پی حمله به سر محیطبانی شهرستان حاجیآباد استان هرمزگان تسلیت گفت.
در متن پیام انصاری آمده است: شامگاه سه شنبه ( ۲۳ تیرماه)، حادثهای تلخ و جانکاه در شهرستان حاجیآباد استان هرمزگان رخ داد که در جریان آن، دو فرزند و عروس محیطبان جواد حسنزاده به شهادت رسیدند، این ضایعه دردناک که در پی حمله دشمن آمریکایی به وقوع پیوست، اندوهی عمیق بر دل خانواده بزرگ محیطبانی، همکاران سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست و مردم شریف استان هرمزگان نشاند.
این ضایعه بزرگ را به خانواده محیطبان شریف، جواد حسنزاده، جامعه بزرگ محیط زیست کشور و مردم ولایتمدار استان هرمزگان صمیمانه تسلیت و تعزیت عرض میکنم.
رئیس سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست با گرامیداشت یاد جانباختگان این حادثه، تأکید کرد: یاد و خاطره این شهیدان در تاریخ این مرز و بوم زنده و ماندگار خواهد بود.
همچنین سردار رضا رستگار فرمانده یگان حفاظت محیطزیست درباره حمله به پاسگاه محیطبانی سیدجوذر در منطقه حفاظتشده طارم هرمزگان گفت: در پی اصابت دو پرتابه، دو فرزند و عروس یکی از محیطبانان این پاسگاه به شهادت رسیدند و ساختمان پاسگاه و تجهیزات آن به طور کامل تخریب شد.
وی افزود: شامگاه سهشنبه ۲۳ تیرماه ۱۴۰۵، پاسگاه محیطبانی سیدجوذر در منطقه حفاظتشده طارم شهرستان حاجیآباد استان هرمزگان هدف اصابت دو پرتابه قرار گرفت.
وی افزود: در این حمله، دو فرزند پسر و عروس محیطبان جواد حسنزاده که در پاسگاه حضور داشتند، به شهادت رسیدند. محیطبان حسنزاده در زمان وقوع حادثه به دلیل حضور در مأموریت گشت و پایش منطقه، در سلامت کامل است.
فرمانده یگان حفاظت محیطزیست با اشاره به شرایط خدمت محیطبانان اظهار کرد: به دلیل کمبود نیروی انسانی و فاصله زیاد برخی مناطق تحت مدیریت سازمان از شهرها و مراکز جمعیتی، تعدادی از محیطبانان به همراه خانواده در پاسگاههای محیطبانی سکونت دارند و در این حادثه تلخ، اعضای خانواده این محیطبان جان خود را از دست دادند.
سردار رستگار درباره منطقه حفاظتشده طارم نیز گفت: این منطقه با وسعتی حدود ۲۰ هزار هکتار، در فاصله حدود ۲۰ کیلومتری جنوب شهر حاجیآباد و ۱۵۰ کیلومتری شمال بندرعباس قرار دارد و زیستگاه گونههای ارزشمند پستانداران، پرندگان و خزندگان است، پاسگاه محیطبانی سیدجوذر تنها پاسگاه این منطقه بود که در این حمله به طور کامل تخریب و تجهیزات آن نیز از بین رفت.
وی ضمن تسلیت این ضایعه به خانواده داغدار، جامعه محیطبانی و مردم استان هرمزگان، با اشاره به پیامدهای جنگ بر محیطزیست تصریح کرد: از ابتدای جنگ تحمیلی، تاکنون چندین مرکز مرتبط با حوزه محیطزیست بر اثر حملات هوایی دچار آسیب و خسارت شدهاند، جنگ همواره با ویرانی همراه است و علاوه بر خسارتهای انسانی، آثار مخرب و ماندگاری بر محیطزیست بر جای میگذارد.
فرمانده یگان حفاظت محیطزیست تأکید کرد: آلودگی ناشی از مهمات، انتشار فلزات سنگین، باقیماندن مواد سمی حاصل از انفجارها، تخریب زیستگاهها و اکوسیستمها، نابودی جنگلها و اراضی کشاورزی، از بین رفتن گونههای جانوری و فشار مضاعف بر منابع طبیعی، از جمله پیامدهای جبرانناپذیر جنگ بر محیطزیست است، پیامدهایی که آثار آن فراتر از مرزهای جغرافیایی بوده و تا سالها پس از پایان درگیریها نیز ادامه خواهد داشت.
همچنین حبیب مسیحی تازیانی مدیرکل محیط زیست هرمزگان در این باره گفت: عروس و ۲ فرزند یکی از محیط بانان هرمزگان در حمله آمریکا به یک پست محیط بانی شهید شدند.
وی افزود: اعضای خانواده این محیط بان در حمله بامداد سه شنبه آمریکا به پست محیط بانی روستای سیدجوذر در شهرستان حاجی آباد واقع در شمال هرمزگان به شهادت رسیدند.
مسیحی تازیانی ضمن تسلیت این رویداد تصریح کرد: این اقدام برگ جدیدی از رویکرد جنایتکارانه آمریکا است.
وی اضافه کرد: مصونیت عرصه های محیط زیستی و محیط بانان و تمام موارد این حوزه در تمام قوانین بین المللی مورد تأکید قرار گرفته است.
وی افزود: این پست محیط بانی در مناطق روستایی حاجی آباد هرمزگان منطقه سید جوذر قرار داشته و در جریان حمله دشمن آمریکایی، انبار علوفه محیط زیست نیز آسیب دیده است.
مسیحی تازیانی خاطرنشان کرد: شهادت مظلومانه این خانواده بی گناه بی تردید مصداق جنایت جنگی است که لازم است تمام نهادهای بینالمللی نسبت به آن واکنش نشان دهند.
