(credit: YONATAN SINDEL/FLASH90)Daughter was being treated for cancerPashkorovia lived on Jerusalem Street in the city with her mother, Olena Sokolva, and her daughter Anastasia (Nastia) Borik, 8, a student at the city's Gordon School, who was being treated at Sheba Hospital as an oncology patient. Two of Olena's grandchildren also lived with them – 14-year-old Ilia Pashkorov and nine-year-old Konstantin Totavich.The family arrived in Israel from Odessa, Ukraine, in December 2022 as part of Nastia's cancer treatment; they are not Jewish, nor did they have any previous connection to Israel.President Isaac Herzog offered his condolences to Artem Borik, Nastia's father, and condemned the intentional firing of ballistic missiles into civilian apartments.
